About this Event
This course is the MSF Experienced RiderCourse (BRC2 LW). The BRC2 LW is a group lesson motorcycle safety training course. It is a practice course, a License Waiver course and a NJ-approved Defensive Driving course. The riding session of this course must be done on your own 2-wheel registered & insured motorcycle.
As mentioned above, this course qualifies as a NJ-approved Defensive Driving Course which entitles you to an insurance discount and a 2-point reduction if you have points on your Driver License. More information about the BRC2 is on the BRC2 page of our website. BRC2 page.
IF YOU ARE TAKING THIS COURSE FOR THE LICENSE WAIVER, YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING 3 ITEMS;
1) A NJ Driver License
2) A valid & current NJ motorcycle permit (passed the NJMVC written test and the NJMVC eye test)
3) Use your own 2-wheel motorcycle for the riding session which must be registered, insured and greater than 232 cc.
As stated on the BRC2 page of our website, there are two segments or modules to this course.
Module 1 - you take a 5-hour (average time) Pre-Course Assignment called the MSF eP1x11 eCourse, which reinforces the basic riding skills and non-physical riding skiils needed to ride a motorcycle safely. The link to the MSF eP1x11 eCourse will be in the confirmation email/tickets you will receive from Eventbrite, our registration platform, as soon as you register for this course. (This is the same eP1x11 eCourse for the BRC1). You can also click MSF eCourse to access the link. If you already took the MSF eP1x11 eCourse, you do not need to take it again unless you want a refresher. Just reprint your eP1x11 eCourse Completion Certificate. More details about the MSF eP1x11 eCourse are on the BRC2 page of our website.
Module 2 - you attend approximately 5 hours of practice riding on your own 2-wheel motorcycle. More details about the riding session are on the BRC2 page of our website.
There will be a 1 1/2 hour remote/virtual/online Orientation Session on the Tuesday date posted for this course at 6:00 PM . This session will properly prepare you for Module 2, the riding session. It will cover the riding gear required for the riding exercises, questions about the MSF eP1x11 eCourse, the Liability Waivers that need to be signed before the riding session, the riding exercises, the Knowledge Test if you want the License Waiver, insurance discount and/or 2-point reduction, the Skill Test if you want the License Waiver, making an appointment with the NJ MVC to get your motorcycle endorsement, and answer any questions you may have. The link to the Orientation Session will be sent in an email three days before the Tuesday date posted for this course. A reminder email will be sent one day before the Tuesday date posted for this course. THE ORIENTATION SESSION IS ONLINE DONE AT YOUR LOCATION (YOUR HOME, YOUR OFFICE, ETC.). This email and additional informative emails are sent as automated group emails by Eventbrite. This session is optional if you took the BRC1, the BRC2 LW or the APRC with The Riding Academy of NJ and already attended it.
If you are not getting the automated group emails, it could be for the following reasons;
a) One of your email addresses was incorrect on the Order Form.
b) Your Spam or Security settings are either sending the group automated emails to your Spam or Junk folder or deleting them.
c) You may have unsubscribed from a marketing email from Eventbrite.
Here are a few suggestions since we can't forward the group emails;
1) Add "[email protected]" to your email Contacts list.
2) Check your "Filters and Blocked Addresses" email settings.
3) Send us a different email address and we will add it to the Eventbrite system so you receive the remaining group emails.
More details about the BRC2 are on the BRC2 page of our website.
Time Schedule
Do Module 1, the eP1x11 eCourse, as soon as you can, on your own, at home, at your own pace preferably 30 days before the riding session (Module 2). The link to print your completion certificate is on the BRC2 page of our website. We need to submit the eCourse Completion Certificate ID# to the NJ MVC.

FAQs
Will I get a motorcycle license taking this course?
Yes, if you successfully complete the course AND have a valid & current NJ motorcycle permit AND have a NJ Driver License AND have your own 2-wheel motorcycle that is registered and insured. More details about the licensing process are on the BRC2 page of our website
What if I already did Module 1 ?
You do not have to do it again unless you want a refresher. However, you will need the eP1x11 eCourse Completion Certificate ID# when you fill out the Liability Waivers.
Do I have to attend the Tuesday night online Orientation Session?
It is optional if you already attended it when taking the BRC1, the BRC2 LW or the APRC with The Riding Academy of NJ.
What if it rains on the day of the practice riding session?
The class is held rain or shine. If rain is in the forecast, bring rain gear (rain jacket, rain pants, waterproof shoes, waterproof gloves or wear latex gloves under your gloves) to keep you dry and prevent hypothermia. Riding in the rain is no big deal as long as you have good tires on your motorcycle and have good rain gear.
Do you offer any discount for this course?
Yes. There is a 10% discount for those who took the Basic RiderCourse (BRC1) with The Riding Academy of NJ (RANJ). Use the Promo code to get the discount. The Promo code is the first letter on your RANJ MSF Basic RiderCourse (BRC1) competion card.

Strict Refund Policy
Our Refund Policy is very strict because we do not want to lose money on a class. Since we offer more benefits and features than all the other motorcycle safety training schools in NJ, we run on a very small profit margin and cannot afford to lose money. If you miss a class, can not make a class, or arrive late to attend a class, we can not just put you in another class for free. That's like buying two seats (one seat in each class) for the price of one seat.
If you have tickets to a sports game or concert and cannot make the event for whatever reason, you do not get to go to another game or concert for free.
We lose money on last minute cancellation/switching/rescheduling requests because we lose the ability to sell that seat to someone else on such short notice, and we lose money on the class.
We are very strict on having the proper riding gear for the riding sessions (the proper riding gear is posted on each course page) and arriving on time for the riding sessions because you can not miss any safety information once a riding session starts for liability reasons. These are MSF, State & insurance regulations for the motorcycle courses.
We are the only motorcycle school in NJ that offers refunds for certain exceptions. Check the Refund Policy for the other motorcycle schools in NJ.
