A Contemporary Dance Showcase by Tampa City BalletTampa City Ballet presents ERA, an electrifying evening of contemporary dance featuring four brand-new works created exclusively for TCB’s dancers by choreographers from across the United States.
This powerful program highlights the extraordinary strength, athleticism, and artistry of the company through four completely distinct creative voices.
Internationally celebrated choreographer Christian Denice premieres Currents, a sweeping neo-classical work exploring the continuous flow of movement and human connection.
Cuban choreographer Osnel Delgado brings his explosive style to the stage with Danza Macabra, a bold and deeply human piece asking the question: if you had one final moment, what would you choose to do?
Multimedia choreographer Jennifer Petuch transforms the stage through immersive projections and digital technology, placing dancers inside a dynamic video game that pushes the boundaries of dance and storytelling.
Rounding out the evening, TCB principal dancers Marta Ortega and Brian Ruiz present an original new work that blends powerful partnering with contemporary expression.
Bold, visually striking, and emotionally charged, ERA showcases the next chapter of dance at Tampa City Ballet.
