About this Event
Equity work is challenging – not because people don’t care, but because it asks us to rethink long-held habits, assumptions, and ways of working.
This session creates a supporting, judgement-free space for all team members – frontline workers, program coordinators, managers, volunteers, and leaders – to talk honestly about why embedding equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) into seniors-serving organizations can be overwhelming, confusing, or discouraging.
What to Expect
- A safe space for real talk
- Guided reflection
- Small group/circle conversations
- Practical insights
- Tools for embedding EDI
Who should Attend – Anyone working in seniors-serving organizations and beyond: frontline staff, program and activity coordinators, volunteers, supervisors and managers, executive leaders, board members, and anyone supporting seniors in community-based, cultural, faith-based, or social serving settings.
Why this conversation Matters – Equity work is not about perfection – it’s about practice. When all team members have space to be honest about what feels hard, they are becoming more capable of creating programs and environments where all seniors feel they belong.
