Practical workshop open to members and non members.
An introduction to half-mask with Jonny Dixon:
Come and learn the basics of playing in half-mask, being in the moment, saying 'yes', creating dynamic characters, using your voice and physicality expressively. This will be a fun, dynamic, practical workshop suitable for newcomers to maskwork or those with previous experience.
Having trained at the Lecoq Mime School in Paris Jonny has toured the world for the past 30 years as a specialist in physical theatre, maskwork and puppetry. He has toured with a wide variety of companies including the RSC, Improbable and Welsh National Opera. His theatre adventures have included Shakespeare in Singapore, puppetry in the arctic circle and award-winning Mask Theatre in Iran. He is an experienced teacher and versatile maker of masks and puppets.
