Equity Arts - An Investment in Imagination

On Friday, May 29th, for Equity Art’s second annual benefit, celebrating a remarkable 7-year journey of establishing a community-owned center for the creative economy in Wicker Park.

The project explores the question: What if we built an economy that funded imagination? Part cultural preservation and part reimagination of the built environment, Equity Arts began as an art-led placekeeping solution by legacy arts organizations, Heaven Gallery and LVL3 Gallery. With multiple value-aligned social entrepreneurs, the organization is dedicated to sustaining an accessible, thriving arts ecosystem to restore artistic identity amid rapid change.

The evening begins with a cocktail hour at 7:00 PM, where guests can enjoy hors d’oeuvres before gathering for a seated community dinner. The night will feature an artfully curated three-course meal by Chef Kristi Isnt of Immortelle Chicago and flowers by Nerine Floral. Guests will also have the opportunity to explore a silent art auction, featuring works by Michelle Chun, Monica Rezman, Tish Noel, and more.
