Some believe that trimming a horse is simple, yet when you begin to truly understand the internal structure and how every portion of the hoof has a job to do., it can become intimidating.
Hell, sometimes just picking up a rasp and look at the hoof can be intimidating, I know... I've been there!
So here's the deal, I will not only teach you how to trim your horse, I will teach you how the hoof works, so that you may better understand what to trim and the why or why not.
I will also teach you about some of the most concerning issues with horses feet. Things like Thrush, Whiteline Infection, Laminitis, Founder and more. We will also discuss treatments and most importantly, how to be pro-active.
You will get a hands on glimpse of the mentioned hoof issues, as well as how the stances and/or contraction effect the joints and the coffin bone ( I have a collection of bones to share with you).
