ENROLLMENT DEADLINE: September 8, 2024.This PATH Int. ESMHL event incorporates lecture, group discussion, and hands-on activities. It details the role of the Equine Specialist in safeguarding the well being of the equine partner in Equine Assisted (EA) Mental Health programs as well as EA Learning programs, ensuring the best experience for the client. The fourth day offers a Horsemanship Skills Test event evaluated by trained evaluators. Candidates demonstrate their horse handling/ground skills and ability to relate to the horse. The faculty for each workshop includes an equine professional and a mental health professional. The workshop and skills test are the first two prerequisites toward obtaining Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning certification.
