Equine First Aid & Emergency Course – While You Wait on the Vet
Join us Saturday, November 14, from 10:00 AM–1:30 PM for a hands-on, interactive course designed to prepare horse owners for emergencies before the veterinarian arrives.
Learn essential skills including colic response, choke, equine asthma, hoof health, bandaging, wound care, vital signs, eye injuries, abscesses, and how to effectively communicate critical information to your veterinarian. Through short lectures, wet labs, and hands-on training, you’ll leave with practical knowledge you can use when every second counts.
Registration: $75 (includes lunch, drinks, hands-on training, and a take-home equine first aid kit (medications not included). Auditors are welcome for $25.
Several past participants have successfully used the skills learned in this course during real emergencies to help stabilize their horses until veterinary care arrived.
