The Apostolic Old Catholic Mission (AOCM) cordially invites you to the Episcopal Consecration of our Rector, Fr Ashley R. Deutschmann, on the Feast of Pentecost. This holy day, celebrating the descent of the Holy Spirit, provides a momentous occasion to witness the continuation of the Apostolic tradition.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐲
On Sunday, 24 May 2026, at 11:00 am, we gather for the laying on of hands. The liturgy will be presided over by His Grace, Archbishop Ronald Saunders of the Apostolic Catholic Church (coming from Spain), who will be joined by Archbishop Svetoslav Vasilev of the Bulgarian Old Catholic Church (from Bulgaria) and—it is hoped—Archbishop Dylan Littlefield of the Old Catholic Union of the West (from California, USA).
Together, they will set apart Fr Ashley for the office of Bishop in service to Christ and His Church.

Once the solemnities are concluded, please do stay to celebrate with us. We shall have tea, coffee, and a spread of light snacks to enjoy—including some traditional Bulgarian favourites and other treats—as we share in the joy of the day together.

We are honoured to hold this service in a place that carries the name of Saint Tsar Boris I. Known as the "Baptiser of Bulgaria" and "Equal-to-the-Apostles," he led his nation to the Christian faith in 864 and secured the independence of the Bulgarian Church. The centre was established in 1909, during a pivotal era of national and spiritual revival, making it a providential setting for this modern milestone in our ministry.
