About this Event
Ever wondered what modern Europe looks like through the eyes of a donkey? No? Well, you're about to find out !
EO is the award-winning 2022 road movie by Polish master Jerzy Skolimowski. Inspired by Bresson's legendary Au Hasard Balthazar, it follows one extraordinary donkey on a journey across Europe — encountering kindness, cruelty, beauty, and absurdity along the way. It won the Jury Prize at Cannes and earned an Oscar nomination for Best International Feature Film. Critics loved it.
Before the film, we'll be screening a specially recorded video introduction by Maciej Kędziora — Polish film critic, journalist, and a prominent voice in Polish cinema. Maciej has previously written a review of EO, so he knows the film inside out — expect sharp insights, a little passion, and possibly more donkey facts than you ever expected to need.
After the screening, stick around for a discussion led by Ross Montgomery, event organiser, film lover, and proud Cinema Social Club member.
🎁 Prize Draw! Feeling lucky? We'll be running a prize draw on the day — you've got to be in it to win it!
👕 Merchandise Cinema Social Club merch will be available at the event — grab something to remember the day !
