For the tenth(!) edition of Environs, we feature a performance of Ellie Cherry’s "Sonata for a Felled Tree" with Sunjay Jayaram on violin and electronics—plus sets by the avant-garde saxophonist and improviser Kate Mohanty, acoustic lo-fi and alt-soul songwriter JSTRO, and a keyboard performance inspired by atmospheric rhythms by host Leftpop. Keeping us moving and closing the night, we have the intriguing selections and collisions of genre from paper gem in the DJ booth.

Environs is a live music series embracing texture, improvisation, and the environment, hosted at the wonderful Dada Bar, NYC.
