In the online casino gaming industry, ensuring a flawless experience is essential, but how do we do this in practice? In this lecture, we will take you inside the game, revealing how we test our products and ensure everything works correctly, as if we were experiencing the player’s real-time journey.

We will start by exploring the initial steps of the process, where planning and requirement setting lay the foundation for testing. But the real challenge begins when we dive into the game, testing each interaction, mechanic, and functionality. Without revealing all the secrets, but by offering various tips, we will unveil the phases of testing, from the most basic to the most advanced, involving crucial aspects for the game's reliability paradigms.

About Speaker:

Juliana Costa, QA Manager at Fabamaq

With 10 years of experience in IT, Juliana Costa worked in different areas, including technical support (help desk), software development, and computer equipment repair and maintenance. Later, she decided to explore new challenges in the banking sector, where, for 2 years, she served as a Software Test Analyst and Business Analyst, deepening the integration between quality and business processes.

In 2020, she started her journey at Fabamaq, a Portuguese company specializing in software development for the gaming industry. As a Software Test Analyst, she significantly contributed to ensuring the reliability of the products, focusing on detailed analysis and preventing issues in demanding technological solutions.

Currently, as a QA Manager, she leads a team of professionals focused on innovation and quality excellence, strengthening quality assurance processes, promoting effective integrated testing strategies, optimizing processes, and fostering collaboration among teams to deliver high-impact software solutions.

Moreover, many developed systems end up being abandoned, generating very high costs for companies and wasting valuable resources. Why does this happen and, more importantly, how can it be avoided? In this presentation, we will explore the main reasons why software projects fail. From planning failures to communication issues, requirement management, and low quality in deliverables, we will analyze each factor and how it directly affects the success or failure of a project. Based on data and case studies, you will understand how the absence of robust processes and clear quality criteria can lead to delays, high costs, and even the abandonment of initiatives. We will also discuss practical and proven strategies to reverse this scenario. We will talk about how to plan more effectively, implement agile practices, empower teams, and ensure that quality is a priority from the beginning of the development cycle.

His combination of technical knowledge and management skills enables him to act as a strategic link between technology teams and stakeholders, translating business needs into effective solutions.
