Weather permitting, on August 19, AC Debrecen's traditional, end-of-summer hiking trip to and picnic at Zelemér in the framework of English Conversation Club: Outdoor Edition will happen again. Our kick-off topic will be Hungarian State Foundation Day (the following day, i.e. August 20) and Independence Day (the 250th birthday of the USA on July 4, 2026).In case of doubtful weather, the decision as to whether we can do the hike (or meet in the library instead) will be announced here on Facebook by 2 pm on Tuesday.
If you feel fit enough (a distance of about 5 km going out and 4 coming back!) and can make it to Józsapark Shopping Center (our meeting point is in front of Biker's Cafe) by 5:00 pm, then you can hike with us. Alternatively, you can catch up with the group at the Zelemér church ruin, the site of our picnic, at around 6:15 pm.
This is a dog-friendly program, so don't hesitate to bring your canine companion along.
