Join Partners in Energy at our final in-person event of the year, Engaging Underserved Residents and Businesses, on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

Gather over lunch to learn about engaging underserved residents and businesses in sustainable energy programs.

This event is open to community leaders, program partners, and organizations interested in advancing energy equity in their community. Join us for a day of expert insights, hands-on activities, and facilitated discussions. We’ll explore strategies to build a more inclusive energy future, with program highlights including:

• Xcel Energy’s low-income energy programs

• Small business outreach in underrepresented areas

• Manufactured home park outreach challenges and opportunities

• Ideas to strengthen outreach in your community

• Time to connect with peers and partners from across the state

After our conversations, we will take an optional tour of Hillcrest Village, located a minute's drive from the Northfield Depot, where we will learn about the community’s innovative energy-efficient design and sustainability features.

A little more about Hillcrest Village: a first-in-the-nation Net Zero Energy emergency shelter and supportive housing development where 100% of utilities are supplied by on-site solar panels. Designed, funded, and built by the community, Hillcrest Village represents local solutions to climate change.
