The Upper Skeena 2026 Empowered Energy Forum is a three-day event focused on showcasing clean energy solutions for northern and Indigenous communities. It’s not just a conference, it's a hands-on gathering of innovators, Elders, youth, and experts sharing stories, skills, and strategies that work in the north.
This event is free to attend and open to everyone. Lunch provided.
Where: Sik-e-Dakh Community Hall (Glen Vowell)
When: April 9–11, 2026.
What: Workshops, panels, demonstrations, youth showcase, and community dialogue.
Why: This forum will help Upper Skeena communities’ lower energy costs, strengthen energy independence, create local jobs, and protect the land and water that sustain us all. It brings together the technical and the traditional energy innovation and ancestral knowledge to build a shared, empowered future.

Who We Are: Skeena Energy Solutions (SES) is a department within the Skeena Watershed Conservation Coalition (SWCC) dedicated to supporting clean, community-driven energy transitions in northern and Indigenous communities.
We believe that true energy sovereignty and sustainability come from empowering people, ensuring local capacity building opportunities, cultural integrity, and practical solutions that reflect the North.
