Let’s get together to unpack what New Zealand’s energy sector really needs after the election.
About this Event

Election promises are one thing. Keeping the lights on is another.

With the general election just around the corner, we're bringing together some of the energy sector's sharpest minds to tackle a big question: What does New Zealand actually need from its next government?

Join the Auckland Young Energy Professionals Network (YEPN) for a discussion on energy affordability, security of supply, infrastructure investment and the policies that could shape our energy future. Expect different perspectives, a few tough questions and hopefully some answers!

Meet our panellists:

  • Jesse Corlett – Principal Consultant, Iron Duke Partners
  • Karen Boyes – Executive Director, Major Electricity Users' Group (MEUG)
  • Bridget Abernethy – Chief Executive, Electricity Retailers' Association of New Zealand (ERANZ)

Keeping everyone in line (or at least trying to) will be our moderator, Aimee Gulliver, Acting Chief External Affairs and Customer Officer at Vector.

📅 Wednesday 4 November 2026
📍 Vector, Level 6, 110 Carlton Gore Road, Newmarket, Auckland

There'll be plenty of opportunity to ask your own questions, challenge the discussion and stick around for networking and refreshments afterwards.

A big thanks to Vector for hosting and supporting the event.
