Endgame (Friday)

Endgame imagines what might be the last living beings on earth, sheltering together at the end of everything and coping through routine and storytelling. Its characters are also performers playing out their tensions before a live audience — an acknowledgment that theater itself is a kind of shelter, a communion between stage and audience facing discomfort together. The play can seem bleak, but it holds unexpected humor and a tender reckoning with what makes life meaningful when meaning itself feels precarious.
