Code of Conduct

The Endeavour Writers Conference is an event and community committed to welcoming, supporting, and ensuring the safety of all participants. The conference will be accessible, discrimination-free and harassment-free for everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, color, gender, gender expression, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, cultural identity, ancestry, citizenship status, marital status, pregnancy, age, medical condition, neurodivergence, and/or physical or mental disability.

We will not tolerate harassment to staff, participants, or attendees in any form including but not limited to harassment related to an individual’s race, religion, color, gender, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, marital status, pregnancy, age, medical condition, and/or physical or mental disability. For the purpose of this policy, the term “harassment” includes slurs and other offensive remarks, jokes, other verbal, graphic, or physical conduct as well as displaying sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

Conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate in response to violations of this code of conduct, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund.

Policies

AI Policy: The Endeavour Writers Conference is an event created for and by humans in celebration of human created stories. No conference materials will be generated by AI/LLMs and no conference recordings or conference related content will be provided to train or be otherwise used by AI/LLMs.

Media Release Policy: By registering and/or attending the Endeavour Writers Conference, participants acknowledge and expressly consent that photography, video, and audio recording may occur throughout the event. Attendance constitutes permission for Endeavour Writers Conference to capture, record, reproduce, and use a participant’s image, likeness, voice, and appearance for use in any media format for promotion, marketing, social media, and press related purposes without compensation, approval, or further notice. No recordings captured during the conference will be provided in any way to AI/LLMs; this policy does not supersede the AI Policy.

Community Health Policy: If you have a cough, fever, or any transmissible symptoms, or test positive for any communicable diseases within 72 hours prior to attendance or at any point during the conference, we ask that you please stay home to keep our community healthy.
