The workshops aim to provide education that will refresh or upskill health care professionals supporting persons with palliative care needs.
About this Event

The clinical skills series is for health care professionals, Heath Care Assistants & Support Workers. The education sessions provide learning which maintains and enhances participants palliative care knowledge, skills and practice.

This session will cover:

  • How the kidney’s work
  • Types of renal disease.
  • Classification of renal disease.
  • Causes of renal disease.
  • Incidence and prevalence of renal disease in New Zealand.
  • Signs and symptoms.
  • Symptom management ~ non pharmacological & pharmacological.

Time: 1600 - 1715

Duration: 1.15 hrs. (PD 1.5 hrs.)
