Encore! A Cabaret is a student-produced musical theatre showcase featuring Defiance College students and community performers; and after a wildly successful debut, we’re just getting started. What began as a fundraiser to reignite the performing arts at Defiance College has become a celebration the whole community is talking about.
It’s time. Enore! A Cabaret is holding auditions, and we want YOU on that stage.
Open auditions kick off at 5:00 PM at Schauffler Hall, Defiance College, and the energy is going to be electric. Want to lock in your moment? Reserve a time slot and come ready to shine.
When:
September 4th, 2026
5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
DC Campus: Schauffler hall 117
What to bring:
32 bars from any musical (60-90 seconds)
Bring sheet music or use a track
We will provide an accompanist
Open Auditions:
No sign-up needed! Just show up anytime between 5 - 7 PM. The earlier, the better!
If all slots are taken online and if there’s still a strong interest, we’ll extend auditions by at least an hour to make sure everyone gets a chance.
It is best to try showing up a few minutes before your audition time just in case the person auditioning before you ends early or late. This will give you time to fill out our audition form in person AND use our practice rooms if you need to warm up!
