Encompassing Thamesmead (South) - Wildlife Walks with J D Swann
Saturday 26 April 11am - 1pm (approx)
Meet from 10.45am at Southmere Square, London SE2 9XA. The walk will start at 11am

This walk will head south from Southmere Square, along Abbey Way to Lesnes Abbey, a loop in Lesnes Abbey Woods and returning to the square.
These walks are aimed at people who would like to find out about wildlife in Thamesmead throughout the year, being in nature together. There will be more birds nesting at this time so plenty to potentially see and hear. Please bring any binoculars and/or cameras. Each participant will receive a J D Swann stamped notepad and drawing materials to document what is seen along the route. There will be a brief review of what has been spotted at the end of each walk, no need for any specialist knowledge, all welcome.
The Practicalities
The walk will go ahead unless there is a serious (red) weather warning. Please wear weather appropriate clothing and footwear. Wherever possible the walk will be on pedestrian paths, but they will sometimes be grass so there could be mud along the route.

Suitable for families but all under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult. Please be aware the walks will be photographed/filmed. A photo permission form will be sent to all participants prior to the walk, please remind him on the day if you do not wish to be documented.
