Encampments: Let’s Talk
About this Event
Encampments: Let’s Talk.
Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking evening with Rev. Maggie Helwig, award-winning author of Encampment: Resistance, Grace, and an Unhoused Community. Moderated by Luisa D’Amato, this conversation will explore the realities of homelessness, the experiences of unhoused communities, and the importance of compassion, dignity, and community response.
Through stories, reflection, and conversation, Rev. Helwig will share insights from her work alongside an encampment community and invite us to consider how we respond to our neighbours experiencing homelessness.
This event is an opportunity to listen, learn, and engage in meaningful dialogue about housing justice, faith, community, and the challenges faced by people living without secure housing.
