Empty the Shelters at Cumberland County Animal Services

Cumberland County Animal Services is participating in the BISSELL Pet Foundation’s nationwide Empty the Shelters event. From Monday, July 6 through Saturday, July 25, 2026, adoption fees will be waived for all shelter pets.
Adoption Hours:
Monday through Friday: 11 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Saturday: 1 – 5 p.m.
Adoptions are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A maximum of one dog or two cats may be adopted per household. Adopters must be at least 18 years old and present a valid photo ID.
All adopted pets will receive the following services:
• Rabies vaccination
• Deworming
• Flea treatment
• Combo vaccine
• Microchip
• Heartworm test (dogs only)
• Spay or neuter surgery
