It’s that time of year again! The Empty Space is on the lookout for ideas for our 2027 season and we need you! Our 24th annual Pitch Day is just around the corner and, whether you’re an actor, director, designer, or tech, there are plenty of ways to become involved!

ACTORS AND DIRECTORS
We’re always looking for new and exciting ways to push the envelope, so bring us your best! Anything’s fair game - from Shakespeare and the classics, to Broadway musical hits, to experimental new pieces, and everything in between - we’re ready to hear what you want to see on our stage!
DESIGNERS, ARTISTS, AND TECHS
Our productions at The Empty Space would be nothing without your talent! In addition to directors and actors, we are also in search of talented folks to design set, costume, lights, and sound, as well as dedicated techs to crew and run the shows! If you are interested in providing your technical or artistic talents, please schedule a pitch time to meet with our team to discuss what productions you would like to be involved in or what area of expertise you would like to volunteer!

Each pitcher will get 10 minutes to present their pitch to our board of directors. Please come prepared with your schedule of availability for 2027, a paper or digital script, and a presentation of ideas and/or designs. For those applying for crew work, a script is not required, however if you have any talents you would like to showcase, please feel free to bring a portfolio of your work.
