“Empty Bowls” is the Coalition’s annual fundraising event to raise not only much-needed funds for our food bank, but to raise awareness of the important work we are doing to provide households in our locale with resource navigation, personal supplies and nutritionally adequate food in socially acceptable ways. This year our event will be on Saturday, February 8, 2025. Local artists and community members create beautiful handmade bowls and other items, which can be purchased at the event. Local musicians keep the event festive and area restaurants donate their signature soups, which are served for free to all attending. Patrons have many ways to donate throughout the day and evening including bidding on auction items. The funds raised at “Empty Bowls” are critical to maintaining our food bank programs and services for our “food insecure” households.
