Celebrating 36 years, Empty Bowls returns to its roots in metro Detroit, offering an opportunity to reinvigorate the movement for a new generation.
Guests receive a handmade ceramic bowl and a meal in exchange for a donation.
The empty ceramic bowl each donor takes home serves as a lasting reminder that while we share a meal together, thousands of people still face empty bowls every day.
Proceeds from Empty Bowls Detroit 2026 support Gleaners Community Food Bank’s mission to achieve hunger-free communities.
