Empowerment

This event is for churches and faith organisations working with refugees and those in the asylum system.

The asylum system can be, by it’s nature, disempowering to those caught up in it. Even with the best intentions, we can sometimes reinforce feelings of helplessness in the ways we treat people. This session provides a space to hear about ways we might empower those that we work with and to discuss our own experiences of empowering those in the asylum system.
