About this Event

Join The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC) FREE professional development workshop at Blowing Rocks Preserve for 9th-12th grade SDPBC science educators! TNC will provide an overview of global and localized climate change impacts and highlight creative ways to integrate climate literacy into FLDOE curriculum.

Teachers will receive:

  • A guided preserve tour showcasing biodiversity impacts resulting from climate change
  • Refreshments and lunch
  • A gift bag of TNC swag and a digital resource guide
  • A gift card upon full completion of workshop activities*
  • Networking opportunities

Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes to spend up to 1 hour outdoors traversing approximately 1-mile on sandy, uneven terrain. Don't forget your reusable water bottle, sun protection, and insect repellent!


*Workshop activities include :

  1. Preliminary Survey - emailed upon registration, to be completed in advance of the workshop
  2. Workshop Attendance
  3. Post-Event Survey - to be completed at conclusion of workshop
