Get ready to kick off the new school year with confidence! EmpowerED: Back to School Resource Fair, hosted by Assistance in Excellence (AIE), is a free, family-friendly community celebration designed to equip students and families with the tools, resources, and support they need for a successful school year.

More than just a school supply giveaway, EmpowerED brings together education, community, and fun in one exciting event. Families will have the opportunity to connect with local organizations, discover valuable year-round resources, and enjoy a day filled with entertainment, community engagement, and back-to-school excitement.

What You Can Expect

• 🎒 Free backpacks and school supplies for students of all ages
• ✏️ Educational resources and information to help students succeed
• 🤝 Resource booths featuring local nonprofits, schools, community organizations, and service providers
• 🛍️ A marketplace highlighting local small businesses and entrepreneurs

• 💇 Free simple hairstyles provided by a professional volunteer braider
• 💈 A rotating team of local licensed barbers offering free basic haircuts for students

Our goal is to remove barriers to academic success while creating a welcoming environment where families can access essential resources, build community connections, and celebrate the beginning of a new school year together.

Backpack & School Supply Giveaway Eligibility

To ensure as many students as possible benefit from this event, the following guidelines will be as follows:

• 🎒 The backpack recipient must be a school-aged student.
• 👧 The student must be present to receive a backpack. Parents or guardians may without a student must wait until the end of the event to receive a backpack.
• 🎒 Limit one (1) backpack and school supply package per child.
• ⏳ Backpacks and school supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

We appreciate everyone's cooperation in helping us distribute these resources fairly and ensure they reach the students they are intended to serve.
