Join DJ ART.is for an interactive Haiku Workshop that challenges you to speak positivity into your life. Through movement, music, and creativity, you’ll explore haiku poetry, learn its history, and use it as an outlet for expression—whether through senryu (emotions), affirmation haiku (self-empowerment), or nature haiku (traditional haiku). Get ready to dance, write, and share in this uplifting session!

We turn to Black History Month to reflect on the past while dreaming of the future. So many of us forget to care for ourselves in the present, overlooking the spiritual compass inside. How can empower ourselves to blossom in an often-unforgiving world? What does mental health, literacy, and spiritual wellness look and feel like? On 2/22, the Anacostia Arts Center will host Afro House: Spirit Fest from 1 PM to 4:30 PM. The festival includes live performances from local creatives , a creative marketplace, and so much more.
