Join us on the grass for the Empire State Grass Volleyball Tournament 🏐, hosted by NYPD Finest Volleyball. This event brings players together to compete hard, play fair, and represent our department with pride.

Info: Rules:

Captains meeting 9:45AM
Games start at 10AM
2 Set to 15 for pool play.
1 set to 21 for quarters.
Best out of 3 for Semis and finals. (If weather permits)
2 teams from each pool go to the playoffs.
(Quads #1 team gets a buy to finals - everyone makes play offs)
Switch sides every 4 points
Bring your own ball to warm up.
There is 2 MINUTE warm up on the court. Please get ready for your game before the previous set ends.
Scoreboards will be provided.
As soon as each game is finished the working team writes the score on the white board, which is located by the check-in canopy.

Main points of play :


Cannot receive call open hand unless it’s a down ball
If set over on one shoulder has to be square and the ball has to go where the shoulders are facing
No tipping
Let serve is allowed (small court)
Blocking does not count as a touch
Switch every 4 points
Refs should be calling doubles or replay
