You’re invited to Emmaus Mossley’s After Shift Thrift on Thursday 7 May to celebrate, shop, get creative, give your support and have some fun.

Join us, after hours, to get thrifty and try something new within our Secondhand Superstore. You’ll have the chance to shop our freshly stocked Zimmerman’s Emporium and Sound & Vision area and enjoy tasty food throughout the evening.

Feel inspired with Future Fashion Fair

We’ll be welcoming Future Fashion Fair to host an open mic discussion in collaboration with Emmaus Mossley. This 45-minute session will take place in our recently opened Mezzanine retail space, and will be an opportunity for you to learn and share. The discussion point at hand will be: ‘circular conversations: how can we make reuse more mainstream?’

In readiness for this event, we’ll be picking out all things retro, collectable and eclectic. Our Emporium will feature cherry-picked pre-loved clothing, collectable treasures and all things weird and wonderful! You’ll find freshly stocked vinyl records, cassettes, CDs, books and comics. Expect to find a wide variety of media on offer and plenty of bargains to be found, with the majority of our 7-inch vinyl, books, CDs and cassettes priced at £1.

Get creative with Notorious

You’ll also have the opportunity to get involved with this month’s Social Studio activity – ‘Screen Printing with Notorious’. The session will be a fun chance to create designs and screen-print on secondhand T-shirts, and will be hosted by Millie from local business Notorious. To keep you fueled, our café will be serving a one-pot dish, hot drinks, soft drinks, homemade cakes and snacks during the event.
