About this Event
Join us to hear from Special Agent Joseph Lea with the United States Secret Service on emerging threats in the Upstate, including cryptocurrency scams and elder abuse.
Lea has served in the United States Secret Service for over 15 years, working on investigative cases including the first "Forced Clicks" case to be federally prosecuted, RICO cases, international criminal money laundering cases, and crypto seizures dating back to 2013. He served for four years on the USSS Counter Assault Team under Obama and Trump and for four years as G.W. Bush's Shift Leader and Mountain Bike Team Leader. He currently works in investigations, conducting international and local training classes at the International Law Enforcement Academies (ILEA) in Thailand, India, Hungary, and Botswana.
