Workshop Description

Tatreez is the Arabic word for “embroidery” and refers to Palestinian stitching techniques that date back centuries. Tatreez motifs are rooted in the flora and fauna of Palestine and also serve as a historical record, documenting both family and cultural history. Together we can discuss the history of Tatreez, how the practice has evolved over time and its current cultural importance.
