About this Event
Come join us at Inner Seed Foundation, a non-profit organization for a special workshop series designed to help kids navigate and normalize their emotions. At Inner Seed, we teach young children (ages 4-7) to discover the world of emotions through play and creativity. In this workshop, kids engage in storytelling, mindfulness, and hands-on activities. They learn to express and manage their feelings in a supportive space.
Schedule:
Week 1: Introduction to Emotions with 'The Color Monster'
Week 2 : Understanding Emotions and Body Sensations
Week 3 : Coping Skills to Manage Feelings
📌 Flexible Attendance: Participants can choose either the Saturday series or the Sunday series. If you can't make it on your selected day, you’re welcome to attend the alternative date on the same weekend.
What to Expect:
- There will be moments for you and your child to interact and bond, as well as times when your child can engage independently.
- This workshop is practical and interactive. You will leave with a deeper understanding
of your child's emotions and many techniques to properly channel their
emotions.
- Your kids might get a little messy during the activities, so dress for fun!

Workshop Reviews
"Highly recommend this class! Attended Teacher Judy’s parent-child session on emotions at Mindful Studio InnerSeed today, and it was fantastic. We learned how to identify emotions, embrace them, and use techniques like breathing exercises to manage overwhelm. We also made a fun toy as a calming tool, which my child loved. It was a meaningful opportunity to connect, and I truly appreciate having such a thoughtful class available in the Bay Area." - Grace Lai
"I was deeply touched by the experience of taking my daughter to the Emotional Mindfulness class at Immersed. The sessions felt more like games than structured lessons, making learning about emotions fun and engaging. We had the opportunity to play with emotions, create crafts (like beautiful, calming glitter jars!), and explore ways to understand and sit with our feelings. As moms, many of us carry guilt and self-judgment, constantly thinking about what we “should” or “shouldn’t” do. These thoughts weigh us down, and I found myself observing some of them even during the class.
Now, imagine a space where all emotions are welcome, where we learn how to acknowledge them without letting them control our reactions. I truly feel these classes are nurturing those seeds, helping both kids and parents grow in a supportive and mindful way.
The atmosphere was filled with support, fun, and love, and my daughter looks forward to each class—excited to see Teacher Judy and her friends. And honestly, who wouldn’t? :) " - Mengmeng
