Embodied Justice Leadership Retreat

Now in its 3rd year, the Embodied Justice Leadership Retreat is a three-day gathering for Black changemakers seeking space to rest, reflect, heal, and lead with greater clarity and intention. The retreat brings together Black nonprofit leaders, organizers, advocates, academics, equity practitioners, and community builders for a transformative experience rooted in healing, community, and collective wisdom.
The retreat includes mindfulness practices, storytelling, dialogue, movement, reflection, and opportunities to connect with others navigating similar questions about leadership, justice, and collective well-being. Whether you are feeling stretched thin, searching for renewed clarity, or longing for community, the Embodied Justice Leadership Retreat offers a space to deepen your leadership practice, reconnect with your values and vision, and explore resilience-based practices needed to lead through challenging times.
Join us July 31-August 2 at a Black-owned farm in Brandywine, Maryland (outside Washington, DC) with modern farmhouse cottages. This is space for mindful practice, honest reflection, and courageous declaration about where we’ve been and where we're going. Come find space for deep rest, joy, recalibration in community, and time to just be.
If you're navigating transition, asking deep questions about your leadership and your role in this moment, or sensing something new is emerging, we invite you to join us.
Limited partial scholarships available, apply by June 8. For more information and to register: https://urbanandracialequity.org/embodied-justice-retreat
