Embers of the Ancients: A Solstice Event

Embers of the Ancients: A Solstice Event is an immersive winter gathering inspired by the ancestral traditions, stories, and rituals that helped communities find meaning during the darkest season of the year.
Drawing inspiration from Celtic, Romanian, and African traditions, this four-hour experience invites guests to step outside the rush of the modern holiday season and enter a space centered on story, reflection, creativity, connection, and the return of light.
Throughout the afternoon, participants will explore the symbolism of winter through cultural storytelling, seasonal rituals, hands-on experiences, and moments of intentional reflection. Rather than simply celebrating the Solstice, guests are invited to experience it as our ancestors often did: as a threshold between what has been and what is still becoming.
The event will weave together themes of fire, darkness, protection, remembrance, release, renewal, and returning light. Guests will have opportunities to reflect on the year behind them, honor what they have carried through difficult seasons, release what no longer needs to follow them forward, and identify what they want to protect and nurture as a new cycle begins.
Expect an atmosphere that feels warm, beautiful, mysterious, and deeply intentional—filled with candlelight, seasonal symbolism, ancestral stories, creative experiences, meaningful conversation, and moments designed simply to slow down.
Embers of the Ancients is not another holiday party.
It is an afternoon removed from the noise.
A chance to gather around the symbolic fire.
To remember that humans have always told stories in winter.
To honor the wisdom carried across generations.
And to decide which embers you will carry with you into the returning light.
