Mae Gyrfaoedd a Phrofiadau Cysylltiedig â Gwaith yn elfen orfodol o Gwricwlwm Cymru ac mae'n hanfodol i helpu dysgwyr i ddeall y cysylltiadau rhwng addysg, cyflogaeth a'u dyheadau yn y dyfodol. Mae llawer o athrawon eisiau darparu profiadau ystyrlon sy'n gysylltiedig â'r byd gwaith ond yn aml nid ydynt yn ymwybodol o'r ystod o gyfleoedd, adnoddau a chefnogaeth sydd ar gael trwy fusnesau a sefydliadau lleol. Ar draws Abertawe mae rhwydwaith cynyddol o gyflogwyr sy'n awyddus i gefnogi ysgolion a helpu dysgwyr i ddeall y cyfleoedd sydd ar gael yn eu sector. O ymweliadau dosbarth a phrosiectau menter i brofiadau gweithle a gweithgareddau cyfoethogi cwricwlwm, mae busnesau yn chwilio fwyfwy am ffyrdd o ymgysylltu ag addysg.
Mae Addewid Abertawe wedi'i ddatblygu i bontio'r bwlch hwn drwy gysylltu ysgolion â chyflogwyr a phartneriaid cymunedol sydd wedi ymrwymo i gefnogi pobl ifanc. Drwy Addewid Abertawe, gall ysgolion gael mynediad at fusnesau sy'n awyddus i gyfrannu eu hamser, eu harbenigedd a'u hadnoddau i gyfoethogi dysgu a chodi dyheadau.
Bydd y sesiwn dysgu proffesiynol hon yn rhoi dealltwriaeth ymarferol i ymarferwyr o sut y gellir ymgorffori CWRE ar draws y cwricwlwm a sut y gall ymgysylltu â chyflogwyr ddod yn rhan naturiol o ddylunio'r cwricwlwm. Bydd cyfranogwyr yn archwilio sut y gall cyfarfyddiadau ystyrlon â chyflogwyr wella profiadau dysgu, cryfhau dilyniant a helpu dysgwyr i wneud cysylltiadau rhwng eu dysgu yn yr ystafell ddosbarth a'r byd o'u cwmpas.
Bydd athrawon yn cael gwell dealltwriaeth o'r datblygiadau cyffrous sy'n digwydd ar draws Abertawe a'r rhanbarth. Mae buddsoddiad mawr, prosiectau adfywio, datblygiadau technolegol a thwf mewn sectorau allweddol yn creu cyfleoedd newydd a gofynion y gweithlu sy'n newid. Mae cadw i fyny â'r datblygiadau hyn yn hanfodol os yw addysgwyr am ddarparu gwybodaeth berthnasol i ddysgwyr am lwybrau a gyrfaoedd yn y dyfodol.
Bydd y sesiwn yn arddangos sefydliadau sy'n cefnogi addysg yn weithredol. Mae cwmnïau adeiladu yn cydnabod fwyfwy gwerth ymgysylltu ag ysgolion, gyda rhai yn cyflogi cyn-athrawon ac arbenigwyr addysg sy'n gweithio'n uniongyrchol gydag ysgolion i greu cyfleoedd dysgu ystyrlon a gweithgareddau sy'n gysylltiedig â'r cwricwlwm. Mae'r Asiantaeth Trwyddedu Gyrwyr a Cherbydau (DVLA) yn parhau i ddangos ymrwymiad cryf i addysg ac mae'n awyddus i gefnogi ysgolion i ddatblygu ymwybyddiaeth o'r ystod eang o yrfaoedd, sgiliau a chyfleoedd sydd ar gael o fewn y sefydliad, yn enwedig mewn rolau digidol, technoleg a gwasanaethau proffesiynol.
Bydd cyfranogwyr yn archwilio enghreifftiau ymarferol o bartneriaethau llwyddiannus rhwng ysgolion a chyflogwyr ac yn dysgu sut y gall y perthnasoedd hyn gyfoethogi addysgu a dysgu. Bydd y sesiwn yn tynnu sylw at sut y gall ymgysylltu â'r diwydiant gefnogi profiadau dysgu dilys, helpu dysgwyr i ddatblygu sgiliau annatod a darparu cyd-destun gwerthfawr ar gyfer cyflawni'r cwricwlwm.
Trwy fynychu'r sesiwn hon, bydd ymarferwyr:
• Deall y disgwyliadau statudol ar gyfer CWRE o fewn Cwricwlwm Cymru.
• Archwilio dulliau ymarferol o ymgorffori CWRE ar draws Meysydd Dysgu a Phrofiad.
• Cael gwell dealltwriaeth o wybodaeth am y farchnad lafur leol, sgiliau yn y dyfodol a chyfleoedd sy'n dod i'r amlwg.
• Darganfyddwch sut y gall partneriaid Addewid Abertawe gefnogi cyflawni'r cwricwlwm.
• Meithrin cysylltiadau â chyflogwyr, sefydliadau a phartneriaid cymunedol.
• Cyrchu adnoddau, cysylltiadau a syniadau y gellir eu gweithredu ar unwaith yn eu lleoliad.
• Cryfhau dealltwriaeth dysgwyr o lwybrau a chyfleoedd yn y dyfodol.
Mae'r sesiwn wedi'i chynllunio i fod yn ymarferol, yn addysgiadol ac yn ysbrydoledig. Bydd yn darparu cyfleoedd ar gyfer rhwydweithio, trafodaeth broffesiynol a chydweithio â phartneriaid sy'n angerddol am gefnogi ysgolion. Bydd cyfranogwyr yn gadael gyda dealltwriaeth gliriach o'r cyfleoedd sydd ar gael i'w dysgwyr, mwy o hyder wrth ymgorffori CWRE ar draws y cwricwlwm a chysylltiadau gwerthfawr a all helpu i ddod â dysgu yn fyw.
Wrth i Abertawe barhau i dyfu ac esblygu, mae'n fwyfwy pwysig bod dysgwyr yn deall y cyfleoedd sydd ar gael yn eu dinas a'u rhanbarth eu hunain. Drwy weithio gyda'i gilydd drwy fentrau fel Addewid Abertawe, gall ysgolion a chyflogwyr helpu i sicrhau bod pob dysgwr yn meddu ar y wybodaeth, y sgiliau a'r dyheadau sydd eu hangen i ffynnu yn y dyfodol.
Careers and Work-Related Experiences (CWRE) is a mandatory element of Curriculum for Wales and is fundamental to helping learners understand the links between education, employment and their future aspirations. Effective CWRE enables learners to recognise the relevance of their learning, develop essential skills and make informed decisions about their future pathways. It supports the Four Purposes by helping learners become ambitious, capable individuals who are prepared for life, learning and work in a rapidly changing world.
Many teachers want to provide meaningful experiences linked to the world of work but are often unaware of the range of opportunities, resources and support available through local businesses and organisations. Across Swansea there is a growing network of employers who are keen to support schools and help learners understand the opportunities available within their sector. From classroom visits and enterprise projects to workplace experiences and curriculum enrichment activities, businesses are increasingly looking for ways to engage with education.
The Swansea Pledge has been developed to bridge this gap by connecting schools with employers and community partners who are committed to supporting young people. Through the Swansea Pledge, schools can access businesses that are eager to contribute their time, expertise and resources to enrich learning and raise aspirations.
This professional learning session will provide practitioners with a practical understanding of how CWRE can be embedded across the curriculum and how employer engagement can become a natural part of curriculum design. Participants will explore how meaningful encounters with employers can enhance learning experiences, strengthen progression and help learners make connections between their classroom learning and the world around them.
Teachers will gain a greater understanding of the exciting developments taking place across Swansea and the region. Major investment, regeneration projects, technological advances and growth in key sectors are creating new opportunities and changing workforce demands. Keeping up to date with these developments is essential if educators are to provide learners with relevant information about future pathways and careers.
The session will showcase organisations that are actively supporting education. Construction companies are increasingly recognising the value of engaging with schools, with some employing former teachers and education specialists who work directly with schools to create meaningful learning opportunities and curriculum-linked activities. The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to education and is keen to support schools in developing awareness of the wide range of careers, skills and opportunities available within the organisation, particularly in digital, technology and professional services roles.
Participants will explore practical examples of successful partnerships between schools and employers and learn how these relationships can enrich teaching and learning. The session will highlight how industry engagement can support authentic learning experiences, help learners develop integral skills and provide valuable context for curriculum delivery.
