About this Event

The 4th Annual Fall Festival is October 24th, 2026, from 12 pm to 4 pm.

Description: The festival features a campsite s'mores station, garden tours, plant giveaways, beekeeping demos, a DJ, fall crafts, local vendors, food vendors, candy giveaway, and more!

Attendees will be able to engage in interactive arts and crafts activities for children, ensuring guests of all ages enjoy the festival with a wide range of activities. Beyond the festival, explore the natural areas of the E.M.B.A.R.C. Youth Farm by hiking the one-mile trail through the forest and exploring the Youth Farm Forest.

Parking is free and located On-Site this year!!

Program leader: Your lead guide will be Whitney Ball, the DeKalb County Natural Resource Manager at the EMBARC Community Youth Farm.

Where to meet: Please park then find the check-in table at the back of the parking lot by the field. Overflow parking will be available up by the bee apiary (turning right upon entering the park).

What to bring: Wear comfortable footwear, dress for the weather, and bring a refillable water bottle. We also encourage coming in holiday costumes!!

Restrooms: There will be portapotties and handwashing stations in the parking lot.

Recommended ages: This program content is designed for all ages!

Dogs: This program is NOT appropriate for dogs, so please leave your pup at home.

Weather contingency: This program will be held rain or shine unless conditions are deemed unsafe by DeKalb County Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs (RPCA).

Walking distance: Distance from car to the festival (less than a tenth of a mile).

Exposure: This program will be held in the garden and on the field in full sun, as well as under the covered basketball courts and pavilion under shade.

Trail surface & accessibility: This program goes on pavement, hard-packed grass, and crushed gravel. Questions if this program will work for your mobility? While participants are welcome to take their own photos, photographs taken by staff are generally intended for County documentation and promotional purposes and are not routinely distributed to participants.

Waiver & Release: By registering for this activity, each participant hereby acknowledges and agrees that he/she is participating in this program at his/her own risk and holds DeKalb County and all its officers, agents, servants, and/or employees harmless from and against any and all claims, loss, damage, charge, or expense to which they or any of them may be put or subjected by reason of participant’s participation in this program. You further acknowledge that DeKalb County is not responsible for the acts of others participating in this program and the other participants may include, but not be limited to, interested individuals, members of civic groups, religious groups, or community group, and/or persons convicted of crimes and/or violations of County ordinances and ordered to provide community service.
