ElliePresents: 1950s Tasting History

Step into the kitchen of the past. On Thursday, November 13 at 6:00 pm, the DeKalb County History Center will partner with ElliePresents to host a special program, 1950s Tasting History.

The 1950s were a decade of innovation and tradition in American kitchens. From the rise of convenience foods and iconic casseroles to neighborhood potlucks and family dinners around the television, food reflected the changing culture of the era. This program highlights the recipes, ingredients, and stories that defined mid-century cooking, and guests will be able to sample flavors that bring this history to life.

Whether you remember these dishes fondly or are curious to discover the meals that shaped a generation, this evening promises to be both delicious and eye-opening. Tickets are $15 per person and include admission and tastings. Seating is limited, so early reservations are encouraged.
