Ellie Black: REVELATOR

Join us for a featured reading by Ellie Black from Revelator, followed by an audience Q&A and book signing!
🗓️ Saturday, November 7 (6–7 PM)
📍 Club House Hot Springs
🆓 Free and open to all!
With equal parts humor and horror, Ellie Black's Revelator explores the increasingly blurry digital-physical landscape and its relationship to power, control, and what we worship.
Transforming shards of language, pop culture, and literature into incantatory poems, the collection blurs boundaries between high and low, reality and fantasy, and the sacred and profane.
Angels visit and animatronics come to life. Sylvia Plath, Lee Edelman, and Evil Dead II share space in a single poem. Revelation, this collection proposes, exists at the limits of confessional poetry, religious confession, the dramatic twist, and the divine promise of an apocalyptic ending.
