Come and celebrate Ella Fitzgerald’s birthday at the National Museum of American History with several daytime programs including: “Ella Fitzgerald in 10 Photos” a panel talk with museum curators Krystal Klingenberg and Shannon Perich, objects out of storage from the Ella Fitzgerald collection, and a workshop on vocal jazz and scatting by Howard University Professor of Vocal Jazz Reginald Bowens, as well as a musical performance featuring Howard University’s SAAsy vocal ensemble to follow.
