This is the walk we’ll be taking—starting at Christ & St. Luke’s Episcopal Church ⛪ and following a scenic loop through some of Norfolk’s most beautiful and historic areas. We’ll pass through Mowbray Arch, cross the Botetourt Foot Bridge 🌉, stroll along the Hague Promenade 🌿, and continue through Harbor Square, the Pagoda Garden 🏯, Nauticus ⚓, Town Point Park 🌳, and Waterside ⛵.
Our turnaround point will be at Water Street Open Space and East Main Street at Park Avenue before heading back.
📍 Parking: Free street parking is available in the surrounding Ghent neighborhood—please follow posted signs.
The full round-trip walk is approximately 8.5 miles 👟 and offers a mix of river views, city charm, and peaceful green spaces. Wear comfortable shoes, a hat, and bring plenty of water 💧—we may even stop at a cute coffee shop along the way! ☕
