We are thrilled to welcome internationally acclaimed pianist and music educator Elizabeth Moak to the Great Hall stage.
Since 2004 Elizabeth has taught at The University of Southern Mississippi, where she is currently associate Professor of Piano. Earlier this year Elizabeth was recognised as a Steinway Top Teacher.
Noted for her “brio, assurance, and remarkable talent (ResMusica, France) as well as her “musicianship and panache” (Classical Net). Moak’s recent solo performances encompass Serbia as well as London’s Great Chamber of The Charterhouse where Elizabeth I signed her letters “from the Royal Palace.”
Moak will present a program of French and American music, beginning with a pair of lively, toe-tapping Baroque dances by Elizabeth Jacquet de la Guerre. Other gems will be featured, along with the well-known Chopin Barcarolle and Ravel Jeux d’Eau [Play of water], topped off with Earl Wild’s Etude on George Gershwin’s “Fascinating Rhythm.
