Cape Verdean vocalist Elida Almeida brings her bright global-roots sound to Music Haven Sunday, July 26, blending traditional rhythms like batuque, funaná, coladeira and tabanka with Latin influences into something entirely her own. It’s a rare chance to hear an internationally celebrated voice from West Africa right here in Central Park. Special guest Yasser Tejeda shares the bill.
