ELEVATE WOMEN IN INDUSTRY FIRESIDE CHAT

We are women who work in trades and industry. We run the crews, lead the installs, own the businesses, and do the work on the floor. We are tradeswomen, women in IT, oil and gas, manufacturing, construction, engineering, and any industry where the numbers are skewed.

Most women's events in Edmonton are built for women in leadership, women in business, and women in executive positions. Elevate is different. This is the room for the woman with boots on the ground. You do not need to be in management to belong here.

What happens in the room

Each Elevate session brings a speaker on something practical. Mindset. Finances. HR situations. Career progression. Not motivational fluff. The kind of topic you can use on Monday morning.

After the speakers, the room opens up. This is the part that makes Elevate different. Not a venting circle. A working session where the room helps each other solve what's actually in front of us. You bring the situation. The room brings ideas. You leave with something useful.

What you walk away with

You walk in knowing you have been the only woman in your shop, your site, or your office. You walk out knowing there is a room full of women who have lived the same things, and that you can talk to them again.

That shift matters. We carry a lot quietly because we do not want to seem like we cannot handle it. This is the room where we say it out loud and figure out what to do about it together.

Meet the founder

I'm Holly Pickard. I spent 20+ years in the trades, starting as the only woman in my automotive technician class. I worked from the shop floor to management to senior management. I have been underestimated, harassed, and told I do not belong. I stayed. I built a career. And for 20 years I looked for a room like this and never found it.

When I started talking to other women, I realized it was not just tradeswomen who needed it. So I built Elevate for all of us.
