We’re excited to share an upcoming community fitness event that will be hosted at Central Park and continue through the Riverwalk. The Elev8 Hybrid Challenge--brought to you by Elev8 Training Grounds, in partnership with the Mishawaka Parks Department!
What is the Elev8 Hybrid Challenge?
The Hybrid Challenge blends walking or running with strength and cardio stations set up throughout a marked course in the park. Participants complete workout stations at intervals along the route, making this a unique alternative to a traditional race or fun run. All fitness levels are welcome, and participants can move at their own pace.
Event Options (Multiple Ways to Participate):
• Blitz – A no-running option featuring 10 workout stations in a circuit-style format
• 1.6K Hybrid Course – A shorter course with multiple fitness stations
• 5K Hybrid Course – A longer hybrid route with a balanced mix of running/walking and workout stations
This event is uniquely designed for...
• Ticketed events for adults of all fitness levels, Youth 14+ and a kid's course for ages 6-13. (Separate FREE Play Zone for kids!)
• Beginners looking for a guided fitness experience
• Runners and walkers wanting a new type of challenge
• Families and friends who want to be active together
• Competitive athletes
What to Expect:
• A welcoming, community-focused environment
• Clearly marked course routes and workout stations
• Staff and volunteers available for guidance and safety
• Designated start waves to manage flow and spacing
* Sign up times will be in 30-minute increments (Example: Heat time 9-9:30am, 9:30-10:00am, etc..); waves will run every 5-10 minutes*
