Our evening will be a meet-up for queer folks and their friends to mix and mingle while enjoying creatively themed mocktails available for purchase only at this event. We will have opt-in participation social activities and conversation initiators. We might even finish off the night with some dancing. Feel free to bring snacks to enjoy by yourself or share. We will have a few outdoor party game areas if weather permits.

Don't worry we get it meeting new people is hard and exciting! Attendees have the choice to wear name and pronoun tags. We will have a small quiet area with some sensory and cool down items for those who experience anxiety or nervousness. Community resources and information will be available on-site. Washrooms will be gender neutral for the evening and are accessible. As we are still in phase one of ELEN's Period Pledge free menstruation and hygiene items will be available to anyone who needs them.

This meet-up has been created for adults and may include mature discussions but overall we are simply hoping to create an open friendly space to encourage our local community to meet one another. We strive to make our events as accessible as possible and we are happy to receive any questions to help attendees feel more comfortable.

November 8th is Intersex Day of Remembrance/Intersex Solidarity Day and November is Trans Awareness Month. Our event will honour gender diversity and we invite all identities to participate. If this night has a theme it's celebrating and supporting Trans lives and rights in Alberta. Community resources for info and supports will be available and some of our partner orgs will be in attendance to help educate.

Strathearn Hall is located at 9511 90 Street. It is an accessible location close to the Strathearn LRT station and a six minute walk from the 500X bus. Free street parking is available.
