Elements Tofino – The Women’s Series

Embark on a transformative 3-day workshop designed specifically for women and female identifying individuals who are interested in exploring or deepening their connection to landscape and nature photography. This workshop is more than just a learning experience, it’s an opportunity to cultivate confidence, creativity and community in a supportive, all-female environment.

What to Expect:

Over the course of three days, you’ll be guided through the beautiful coastal scenery of Tofino with its lush, temperate rainforest, thick lichens, mosses, fungi and ferns to expansive sandy beaches framed by rocky outcrops and tide pools. Driftwood, shaped by the Pacific Ocean’s relentless force scatters the shoreline and ocean spray fills the air. You’ll receive hands-on guidance in both the technical aspects of photography and the exploration of your creative vision.

Building Community:

We believe in the power of community and connection. This workshop offers a unique opportunity to bond with like-minded women who share similar interests in photography. We’ll set aside time for group discussions and kick off the workshop with a welcome dinner, included in the cost. Our hope is that the relationships fostered here will extend beyond the bounds of the workshop experience.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Payment

The total cost payable to Viktoria Haack Photography for the services provided during the workshop shall be the amount stated on the Eventbrite webpage. A non-refundable deposit of $750 (+GST +fees) is required at the time of registration which guarantees your spot on the workshop. The remaining balance of $930 (+GST +fees) is due no later than January 20th, 2025. If the full balance is not received by the date that it is due, Viktoria Haack Photography reserves the right to cancel your reservation and retain any deposit or payments already made. For registrations after January 20th, 2025, full payment of $1680 (+GST +fees) is required and is non-refundable.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by Client:

• Should you need to cancel for any reason, a notice of cancellation must be sent to, and received by, Viktoria Haack Photography in writing, which will become effective as of the date sent (i.e., the date postmarked for standard mail, or the date/time sent for electronic communications).
• If you send your notice of cancellation prior to January 20, 2025, you shall forfeit your deposit but shall not be liable for the remaining tuition balance. Although the deposit is non-refundable in this situation, it is transferrable to another party. If you can find someone to take your spot, or if your spot is filled from someone on our waiting list, your initial payment will be refunded minus a $100 CAD fee.
• If you send your notice of cancellation after January 20th, 2025, you shall forfeit your entire tuition and no refund will be given. Although the tuition is non-refundable in this situation, it is transferrable to another party. If you can find someone to take your spot, or if your spot is filled from someone on our waiting list, your initial payment will be refunded minus a $100 CAD fee.

If you can find someone to take your spot, or if your spot is filled from someone on our waiting list, your initial payment will be refunded minus a $100 CAD fee. extremely unlikely, Viktoria Haack Photography reserves the right to cancel this trip for reasons including, but not limited to, insufficient number of participants, unforeseen circumstances affecting the cost of the travel services provided (accommodations, transportation, etc.), or conditions beyond our control that would compromise the safety of participants. Cancellation decisions shall be made in the sole and absolute discretion of Viktoria Haack Photography.
• In the event of a cancellation, all payments received would be fully refunded to participants or you will be given an option to reschedule at a later date. We are not, however, liable for expenses incurred such as airfare or accommodations and no compensation will be made for flight cancellation fees or other associated travel expenses. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any non-refundable fees associated with this trip.

• If a workshop is canceled while in progress, you will receive a prorated refund based on the number of days not completed.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By registering for and/or paying a deposit towards a photography workshop with Viktoria Haack Photography, you agree that you have read and understand the Terms and Conditions set forth below:

• The date, location, and tuition for your specific photography workshop shall be detailed on the webpage for your workshop. During the workshop, Viktoria Haack Photography and Anna Morgan Photography shall provide in-the-field photography instruction and location guidance as detailed on the webpage. While local lodging, food and transportation lists will be shared wherever possible, neither Viktoria Haack Photography nor Anna Morgan Photography provide, or bear responsibility for providing transportation, lodging, or meals during the workshop with the exception of the welcome dinner on March 6th.

• Viktoria Haack Photography strongly encourages all Clients to purchase travel and medical insurance for your workshop in order to protect you in the event of a sudden emergency before or during your workshop, and coverage for trip cancellation or interruption, illness, injury, damage, and loss or theft of baggage, as well as emergency assistance.

• You acknowledge that the workshop and outdoor photography in general carry an inherent risk that cannot be controlled or limited by Viktoria Haack Photography or Anna Morgan Photography. You, for yourself, your heirs, executors or anyone else who may claim on your behalf, hereby waive, release and forever discharge, Viktoria Haack Photography / Anna Morgan Photography, assistants and affiliates, representatives, executors, and all others from any and all responsibilities or liability from personal injury, death, damage to property or loss of any kind resulting from participation in a photography workshop event including claims of negligence by Viktoria Haack Photography or Anna Morgan Photography. This release extends and applies to, and also covers and includes all unknown, unforeseen, unanticipated and unsuspected injuries, damages, loss and liability. You are responsible to research the event and bring the proper gear. You are also responsible for selecting activities that are appropriate for your physical abilities and interests.

• Your attendance at any event confirms that you have read and accept the terms of this liability waiver. By signing up for this event you understanding that you are attending at your own risk

• Viktoria Haack Photography / Anna Morgan Photography give no warranty, express or implied, or of fitness for a particular purpose, in connection with the workshop. You acknowledge that Viktoria Haack Photography / Anna Morgan Photography makes no warranty whatsoever with respect to any intended results that you expect to derive from the services provided. You acknowledge that travel with a group involves compromise to accommodate goals, desires, personalities, abilities, and physical capabilities. Participants understand that weather and conditions are unpredictable or difficult to forecast. Itineraries are planned, but flexible, and no part of the schedule can be guaranteed. Viktoria Haack Photography / Anna Morgan Photography’s sole warranty is that it will use commercially reasonably efforts to perform its obligations and the services as defined herein and on the webpage.

• Viktoria Haack Photography / Anna Morgan Photography reserves the right to take photographs and videos during the operation of any workshop and to use the resulting photographs or videos during the operation of any subsequent workshop or for commercial or promotional purposes, and you agree to allow your likeness to be used for those purposes without compensation. You grant Viktoria Haack Photography / Anna Morgan Photography a non-exclusive worldwide irrevocable license to use those videos or photographs for editorial, promotional, and training purposes. However, Copyright to all photographs and videos that you take during the Workshop shall belong to you. If you prefer that your likeness not be used by Viktoria Haack Photography / Anna Morgan Photography, you must notify us in writing prior to commencement of your workshop.
