Elements of Yin Yoga

The Experience
Join us each week as we explore one of the Five Elements through a slow, restorative Yin Yoga practice.
Each session is designed to create space within the body and mind supporting physical release, emotional balance and a deeper sense of calm.
A quiet, considered practice that gently guides you back to your natural state.
The Elements
Each class centres around one of the Five Elements:
Earth
Air
Water
Fire
Ether
Drawing from Wuxing, an ancient Chinese system, the elements are explored through their connection to seasons, energy systems and the body.
Each week focuses on a different element, supporting harmony through the meridian lines and overall energetic balance. The series is cyclical, so you can join at any time.
What to Expect
A slow sequence of Yin Yoga postures held for 2–5 minutes, allowing the body to soften and release.
This style uses props to fully support the body, encouraging stillness and deep rest.
Each session may also include:
Mantra
Mudra
Gentle self-reflection
Guided Yoga Nidra with sound
The practice is designed to calm the nervous system and support a deeper connection to yourself.
After class, you’re invited to stay and enjoy organic tea and handmade raw treats.
Your Facilitator
Led by yoga teacher and women’s health practitioner Amanda Howell, whose approach blends decades of experience across yoga, somatic movement and trauma-informed practice.
Amanda creates a grounded, supportive space, known for her compassionate and intuitive teaching style.
The Space
Held in our Mandala Room at The Sound Temple in the Perth Hills, set on five acres of Jarrah Forest.
